Snaefell Summit Exhibition
With breathtaking views outside the windows, it's hard to concentrate on the display of historical memorabilia which describe the inception and completion of this, the oldest operating mountain railway in the world. The whole process from start to finish took some seven months to complete and used the steam loco Caledonia in a third rail to haul building materials to the summit.

Ramsey Visitor Centre
This intriguing Visitor Centre provides information about the Manx Electric Railway and is situated at the station in Ramsey. There is no better way of experiencing the reality of electric tram history than to step aboard original cars No1 and No 2 and travel the parallel lines through the timeless Manx countryside.

Souvenirs
Isle of Man railways have a wide range of souvenirs at the shop at Douglas Steam Railway Station. Videos, books, ties, mugs and much much more. Write or phone for a sales catalogue.

Hiring a moving experience
Why not hire a Steam Train, Manx Electric Tram or even the Snaefell Mountain Tram for your next function, outing or party. What better way to entertain business colleagues and friends than aboard one of the lovingly restored trains or trams.
Call the Railways Traffic Department on +44 (0)1624 663366 for more details.

Photographic vantage points
The railways of the Isle of Man offer many spectacular and delightful opportunities for the photographer. The Manx Electric Railway runs parallel to the road for much of the journey, giving easy access. The railway stations and crossings offer backdrops full of character, whilst there are miles of open countryside in which to frame shots on all the railways.
