| How to get to the Isle of
Man |
 |
 |
Presented in collaboration with the Department of Tourism and
Leisure
|
Wherever you live, getting on to the
Island presents no problem. By air or by sea, the journey to the Isle of
Man is easy.
 |
Airlines servicing the Isle of Man are currently Comed
Aviation (Blackpool/IoM), Jersey European (IoM/Belfast/Gatwick/Derry/Blackpool)
and Manx Airlines which together with its sister company Manx Airlines
(Europe), provide departures not only from throughout the UK, and the Republic
of Ireland but also connections to major European hubs such as Paris and
Brussels.
Manx
Airlines operates a modern fleet, principally British Aerospace ATPs,
British Aerospace 146 jets, plus a number of Jetstream 31s and
41s.
Passenger and car ferry services are operated by the
Steam Packet Company and the
New Millennium brings you even greater choice of sailings with the introduction
of a new daily SuperSeaCat service to Liverpool. This addition to our services,
together with our existing SeaCat sailings, also offers you day trip
opportunities everyday throughout the summer. Now you can sail to England in
only two hours!, with the introduction of new SeaCat sailings to Heysham during
the summer. So now you can choose between the speed of our SuperSeaCat and
SeaCat services or the more leisurely pace of our conventional vessel
Ben-my-Chree ( or the Lady of Mann during January and the TT Races
period.)
Which ever vessel you travel on, from the moment you step on
board you'll enjoy standards of service that come as a real breath of fresh air
in an age where true passenger comfort is increasingly hard to find. First
class cafeterias, bars, seating areas and attentive cabin crew...everything is
geared to helping you arrive at your destination refreshed and ready to make
the most of your holiday. |
