Special Interest Groups

The MRA are creating an index of members with their e-mail addresses with the possible future hope of organising a bulletin board or discussion period at certain fixed times during the week. Members who wish to be included in the experiment, could they please email me with their details.

Newly Formed Computer Group.
The next meeting of Computer Group will be held on Tuesday 8th August at 10am at Tudor Lodge and the topic will be ' email' using Microsoft Outlook Express for more dates of this group and others, please visit the MRA Events page.
Become a ' Silver Surfer ' with the Manx Retirement Asssociation, as they were nicknamed by IofM.net in a local press release. Any members interested in joining this new exciting venture should contact the M.R.A
Proposed Walking Group
Following the high level of interest shown in having a walking group - expressed by members at our recent Coffee morning at the Mount Murray Hotel, it has now been decided to guage the strength of total interest by inviting members who may be interested in taking part in an occasional walk in different parts of the Island.
MRA Choir
The MRA Choir use the Promenade Methodist Church as there venue and hope that members will continue to support this very enjoyable hobby which has proved to be fun for them all.
Bridge
The Bridge Section held its first session of the New Year in Onchan in January. Although sessions are usually held on the third Saturday of each month, a certain amount of flexibility is adopted.
Any Bridge playing member of the MRA interested in joining this small group are more than welcome.
Whist
The Whist group meets every Monday afternoon in the Victorian Lounge of the Castle Mona Hotel, Douglas.
Coffee and biscuits are served and we would like to see a few more members joining us so what coming along on a Monday afternoon and joining in the fun.
Short Mat Bowling
Meets at the National Sports Centre, Groves Road, Douglas.

Now well established and arrangements are being made for future meetings though the organiser, who can be contacted through the MRA.
