| Potato and Treacle Pudding |
8 oz. Mashed
Potatoes
4 oz. Flour
3 oz. Chopped Suet (or dripping and
margarine instead)
2 oz.
Breadcrumbs
3 Tablespoons Treacle or
Syrup
Milk
1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
Mix together the flour, breadcrumbs, suet and baking soda. Mix in
the potatoes and syrup and a little milk. Pour into a greased basin, cover with
greaseproof paper and steam for three hours.
