| Oatmeal Gingerbread |
1 lb.
Flour
1/4 lb.
Oatmeal
2 oz.
Margarine
2 oz. Moist Brown
Sugar
1 Teaspoon Ground
Ginger
3/4 Teaspoon of Baking
Soda
1 Tablespoon of
Syrup
1 Tablespoon of
Treacle
1
Egg
Rub margarine into flour and add
the other dry ingredients. Pour in melted syrup and treacle. Beat in egg and
enough buttermilk to make a soft dropping consistency.
Turn into a greased tin and bake in a moderate oven for one to one
and a half hours.
